1
Head out to Split to board Kleopatra. Settle into your cabin and meet your fellow passengers at the Welcome Reception and tonight's four-course dinner aboard this excellent vessel.
2
The first port of call is on the southern shore of the island of Brac, at beautiful Bol. Backed by wooded hills and boasting the island's most spectacular beach and boasting a shore-side promenade, Bol is a perfect introduction to the Croatian islands, whether you choose to take a dip in the sea, stroll along the shore or visit the town's ancient monastery and museum, overlooking the town.
Return to Kleopatra for lunch, after which you'll sail on towards 'jet-set' island Hvar, a verdant, lush paradise that is amongst the Adriatic's most sparkling jewels. Enjoy a guided tour of Hvar Town, where highlights include the ancient public theatre - one of Europe's oldest - a Venetian arsenal and 16th-century St Stephen's Cathedral. This evening, enjoy the colourful, elegant korzo of locals and visitors dressed for the nightly stroll, and perhaps dine in one of the town's many harbourside cafes or restaurants.
3
After breakfast, Kleopatra slips away towards her next island call. Each day, the captain will ensure that there's time to enjoy the sunshine for which the region is famous and the opportunity for a swim or snorkel, and today lunch will be served with the ship anchored in a pristine bay. This afternoon's call is in Korcula, birth place, legend has it, of the explorer Marco Polo. Whether true or not, the island is worthy of any voyage of discovery. Enjoy the included walking tour of the main town, a medieval jewel of narrow streets and fortifications, and this evening dine in one of a host of restaurants or tavernas, perhaps sampling the island's excellent wine.
4
A morning's sailing brings Kleopatra to stunning Dubrovnik, the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' included on many a Mediterranean wish list. Explore the beautiful, compact city, with its red-roofed buildings and fortifications. After the chance to take in the panoramic views above the old town, a walking tour will introduce the medieval Old Town, its pedestrianised central street Stradun, overlooked by Sponza Palace and Baroque St Blaise's Church. Other highlights will include the Franciscan Monastery, housing Europe's oldest pharmacy, and the Rector's Palace (entrances payable locally). Take a stroll around the walls, choose a restaurant or cafe for dinner, and return to Kleopatra at the end of a wonderful day.
4
Following breakfast, Kleopatra heads north once again, sailing past the Elaphiti, or 'Deer Islands'. This afternoon, you'll arrive at Mljet Island, legendary hiding place of Odysseus and Calypso, where the wooded Mljet National Park, can be explored after lunch (entrance charge payable locally). Kleopatra spends the evening tied up in the tiny port of Pomena, and there's the chance to enjoy dinner ashore.
5
Slipping away from Mljet, Kleopatra spends today lazily cruising through the blue Adriatic waters, with plenty of time for sunbathing and a long lunch on board. By afternoon Kleopatra will have arrived on the north coast of Brac, where the idyllic haven of Pucisca is a last overnight island mooring, and the perfect backdrop for this evening's Captain's Dinner.
6
Making the short crossing to the mainland, Kleopatra spends the morning in former pirate hideaway Omis, at the gateway to the Cetina River Canyon, and boasting an old quarter of narrow alleys beneath ruined city walls. An optional excursion (payable on board) is offered into the limestone canyon, heading up river to Radman Mills, where a snack-stop is included.
A last afternoon's sailing - and perhaps a swim - bring Kleopatra back to historic Split - with its wondrous UNESCO-listed Old Town and palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. Enjoy a final evening ashore, perhaps dining along the waterfront.
7
Bid Kleopatra farewell and begin your journey home.
